Privacy policy

noflaw (Recptji, package com.recptji.noflaw) is a shared ledger for group treasuries. We do not hold your group's money; funds stay in your bank account and move through UPI apps you choose. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

Who this applies to

noflaw is intended for people 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Information we collect

Account and profile

• Name, email address, and phone number when you sign up or update your profile.
• Login credentials (stored securely; passwords are hashed, not stored in plain text).

Fund and financial records you enter

• Fund names, members, roles, and invite codes.
• Money added (received), expenses, reimbursements, budgets, and settlement records.
• UPI payee details you scan or type (for example VPA, merchant name, amount).
• Receipt photos and other attachments you attach to expenses (stored with your fund data).

Device permissions (optional)

The Android and iOS apps may request access only when you use related features:

• Camera — scan UPI QR codes and capture receipt photos. Images are used for the feature you requested; we do not access the camera in the background.
• Photos / storage — pick existing images from your gallery to attach as receipts.
• Contacts — search your address book on your device to invite members. Contact lists are read locally for search; we do not upload or store your full contacts book on our servers.
• Notifications — send fund activity alerts. If you allow notifications, we store a push token linked to your account so we can deliver them. You can turn notifications off in device settings at any time.

Technical and support data

• Device type, operating system, app version, and error logs to keep the service reliable.
• Messages you send via support email or waitlist forms.

How we use information

• Operate the app: shared activity feeds, roles, exports, UPI payment flows, and notifications.
• Authenticate you and protect accounts from abuse.
• Respond to access requests, support, and feedback.
• Improve security, fix bugs, and maintain service quality.
• Comply with applicable law when required.

We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

How we share information

• Within your fund — members you invite can see fund data according to their role (treasurer, member, etc.). Do not invite people who should not see your group's finances.
• Service providers — hosting, email delivery, and push notification delivery, under contracts that limit use to running noflaw.
• Legal requirements — when law, regulation, or valid legal process requires disclosure.

Where data is stored and security

Fund and account data for production users is stored on servers in India. We use encryption for data at rest (AES-256) and HTTPS for data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; keep your login credentials private.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active and as needed to operate funds you belong to. Fund treasurers may retain records for audit or legal reasons even after a member leaves.

You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account) or follow the steps on our account deletion page. You may also email us to request deletion if you cannot access the app. We respond within a reasonable time, subject to legal obligations and legitimate needs to retain certain fund records.

Your choices

• Deny or revoke camera, contacts, photo, or notification permissions in device settings.
• Fund owners and admins control invitations and what each member can see.
• Delete funds, expenses, or money added in the app — see our data deletion page.
• Delete your whole account — see our account deletion page.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of noflaw after changes means you accept the updated policy.
